William is a seasoned law enforcement professional with over 40 years of experience in public safety and leadership. He most recently served as Chief of Police and Assistant Vice President at the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority from 2013 to 2024, overseeing law enforcement, firefighting operations, and TSA compliance.
Previously, he held leadership roles at the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) and played a key role in establishing the Tennessee Office of Inspector General. Griswold is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and has extensive expertise in criminal investigations, counter-terrorism, drug smuggling, and security operations.
