Dar is a highly decorated Lieutenant Colonel (Ret), whose distinguished career spanned from 1986 to 2013. He served in key leadership roles, from Platoon Leader to Battalion Commander, and led troops in major conflicts, including The Gulf War, Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
A graduate of elite programs including US Army Ranger and Sapper Schools, as well as the US Naval War College, LTC Place earned numerous accolades, including the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, and Master Parachutist Badge. He also holds degrees in History, Human Relations, and National Security.
Now residing in Clarksville, Tennessee, with his wife Cindy, Dar co-founded Veteran Equine Time, a non-profit offering equine therapy to veterans.
